Shelby's Music Group

Shelby Brewer, Mezzo-soprano, is a versatile musician, private vocal instructor in Marion, IA at Just Make Music and lead vocal instructor School of Rock, who has a passion for helping others discover their own voices. Her holistic approach guides her students through discovering the importances of vocal health and longevity, music theory, performance techniques, and the wholesome enjoyment of music and performing. Shelby has been involved in numerous musical endeavors throughout her career, such as Vocal Jazz Ensemble at the University of Lincoln-Nebraska, musical theatre at Starlighters II theatre in Anamosa, show choir direction and choreography, and local performances within the community.

Shelby began her studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of Northern Iowa. She has studied with numerous well-known instructors, such as William Shomos, Cindy Shadrick, David Von Kampen, and Jean McDonald.

Shelby is so excited to share her studio’s Summer 2025 Recital. For some of her students, this is their very first time performing in front of an audience. For others, they are actively involved in music within their school and community. Each and every student has their own unique voice, and we are so excited to share our voices and passion for music with you!
