2025 Linn County Fair Queen Candidates

The Linn County Fair Association is excited to announce the 2025 Linn County Fair Queen Contestants. We have a great group of contestants with outstanding community service driven experience in their communities.

Let us introduce you to our eight (6) Linn County Fair 2025 Queen candidates.


Kinsley Dougherty is from Coggon, who will be a Senior. She is the daughter of Tyler Dougherty and Amanda Prescott. Kinsley is actively involved in 4-H, cheerleading and archery. Kinsley enjoyed showing her animals while at the fair. Kinsley plans to study criminology in school.


Shyanne Fleming is from Central City, and currently attends Indian Hill Community College. Shyanne is involved in the theater program, Jazz Band, Art Club, Education program at IHCC. Shyanne will continue her education at Indian Hills working towards her elementary education.


Selena Killham is from Marion. Selena attended Kirkwood Community College. Selena has enjoyed showing at the Linn County Fair her rabbits and cat as well as helping out in the Linn County Council & Youth Programs committee. She is the daughter of Sheila Killham. Selena hopes to be an elementary educator.




Emmalee Kratz from Center Point. Emmalee just finished her junior year. She is the daughter of Sam and Rachel Kratz. Emmalee is involved in FFA, CPU Dance Team. Emmalee is a member of the Wapsi Hustlers 4-H Club. While at the fair Emmalee enjoys showing her static projects and showing her cattle and for the first time showing goats. Emmalee’s future plans are to attend Iowa State University and pursue an agriculture degree.




Kylee Kremer is from Central City. She will finish her senior year. Kylee is the daughter of Dan Kremer. She is involved in many organizations within her community and school including, FFA,cheer, Youth Council, 4-H Club Wapsi Willoers, Antioch Church & Browns Farm. While at the fair Kylee enjoys showing livestock, serving in the Youth Council food booth, and helping judge the clover kids. Kylee is undecided on her future plans at this time.




Addison Sloan is from Alburnett, where she finished her Junior year of school. She is the daughter of Eric and Jen Sloan. Addison is busy with many activities including, 4-H, FFA, FCLA, NHS, Wrestling manager, and helping seniors.Addison is involved with showing her livestock at the fair. Addison’s future plans are to attend a 4 yr university with the intent to become a nurse practitioner.



Our current 2024 reigning royalty:

2024 Linn County Fair Queen- Jayda Bowman is from Marion. She is the daughter of Jarod and Leann Bowman. Jayda has enjoyed growing up at the fair and enjoys helping out the Cock-A-Doodle Zoo, Bacon Buddies and the youth council food booth throughout the fair. Jayda is continuing her education at Kirkwood studying in the welding program.

2024 Linn County Fair Princess- Katie Sterling is from Swisher. She is the daughter of Eric and Julie Sterling. Katie attends Iowa State University studying agriculture.Even though being involved with the Linn County Fair only recently she has enjoyed her experiences showing dairy cattle & bucket bottle at the fair.

The contest judging took place on the June 1st.

The 2025 queen and princess will be announced and crowned Thursday, June 26th at The Linn County in the Farm Bureau Pavillion at 5:00pm.

2024 Linn County Fair Queen and Princess

The 2024 Linn County Fair Queen is Jayda Bowman she is from Marion and just graduated from Linn-Mar High School. She is the daughter of Jarod and Leann Bowman. Jayda was actively involved in her school and outside organizations. Jayda is involved with 4-H Lion Leaders, CTE Committee, SODA and participates in Track and Field to name a few. Jayda is a proud member of the Indian Creek 4-H Club where she served in many leadership roles during her time. While at the fair she enjoys showing her pigs, specifically with the Bacon Buddies show and helping out in the council booth. Jayda will continue her passion and love for welding at Kirkwood Community College.

The 2024 Linn County Fair Princess is Katie (Katelynn) Sterling is from Swisher and has just graduated from Prairie High School. She is the daughter of Eric and Julie Sterling. Katie is busy with many activities including, Student Council, FFA, cheerleading, National Honor Society & Science National Honors Society, track, wrestling and Key Club. Even though being involved with the Linn County Fair only recently she has enjoyed her experiences showing dairy cattle, bucket bottle and spreading the word about Prairie FFA. Katie’s plan is to attend Iowa State University with plans to be an agriculture education teacher.



The reigning 2024 Linn County Fair Queen and Princess were crowned at the 2024 Linn County Fair on June 27 at 5:00 pm in the Farm Bureau Pavilion.

Little Mr. and Miss Linn County Fair

The Little Mr. and Miss Linn County Fair Competition had a total of 8 candidates this year. The 2024 candidates were asked three questions in their application process including: what is their favorite thing about The Linn County Fair and why, what they want to be when they grow up, and what makes them a good friend. In addition, they were asked to color a coloring sheet that is viewable at Citizens State Bank, our sponsor, in Springville.

The 2024 Little Miss Linn County Fair is Alivia Hoover. Alivia is the daughter of Emily and Matt Hoover of Coggon. Alivia loves the fair because she loves to show her calf, sheep, and goats. She is a great friend because she is trusting and nice. When Alivia grows up, she wants to be a teacher. Alivia can’t wait to make candles and bring them to the fair when she is in 4-H or FFA.


The 2024 Little Mr. Linn County Fair is Lincoln Zumbach. Lincoln is the son of Jared and Ashley Zumbach of Coggon. Lincoln enjoys the tough truck event because it’s fun to watch. Lincoln is a great listener, and helps others which makes him a great friend. He would like to be a dad when he grows up. When Lincoln is old enough he can’t wait to show his calf at the fair!
