CONTESTANTS MUST BE 21+
This event will be held in the Coors light pavilion on the Linn County Fair grounds.
1.)This competition will be held same day and winners will be crowned same night.
2.) One entry per person/duo (Those competing as a duo cannot compete individually.. Sign up will begin 8:00pm in the Coors Light Pavilion. Maximum of 25 performers. 5 will go to the Finals, where they will sing an additional song.
3.)Contestants will sing ONE SONG ONLY that you will be judged on for the night. SO PICK WISLEY! We will have 3 Judges for this competition.
Contestants will be judged on a scale of 1 to 10 for vocals talent. 1 to 10 for stage presence and audience engagement and reaction.(so bring those friends). Contestants will be judged on Knowledge of song on a scale of 1-10. This means Vocal entrances and exit's. (timing) but judges will also judge on memorization of word's. Yes we understand it is Karaoke but it is so cool when someone can just walk away from the screen and engage the audience. Most likely everyone will automatically start at a 5 and adjust from there with this one.
4.) Once your name is called and the song has begun you must start singing. You can't request the song to be restarted. Only exception that will be made is for technical difficulties.
5.) Prizes
1st Place- $200 Cash
2nd Place- $100 Cash
3rd Place- $50 Cash
Best look alike artist - special prize
6.) The competition will be on Saturday from 9:00pm-12:00AM. Contestants will compete in random order that will be drawn from a hat. Acceptance of entries will begin around 8:00PM of the event night. Please provide you song selections at that time. We are aiming to start competing no later than 9pm.
7.) Contest is open to amateurs only. No DJ'S, KJ'S or professional singers please.
8.) Rules and regulations of this competition are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to end the competition at any point in time.
