Calling All Shutterbugs! The Third Annual Linn County Fair Week Photo Contest is HERE!
Get ready to frame your unforgettable fair moments! After an incredible debut last year, we're thrilled to announce the Third Annual Linn County Fair Week Photo Contest! This is your chance to capture the heart and soul of the fair through your lens and share your unique perspective with the community.
From the exhilarating blur of carnival rides to the quiet pride of a livestock exhibitor, the infectious laughter of a child with cotton candy, or the vibrant tapestry of fairground life – we want to see it all, through your eyes!
Ready to Snap, Share, and Shine? Here's What You Need to Know:
Who Can Enter? This is an amateur/beginning photo contest, open to fairgoers of all ages and residents. If you love taking pictures, this contest is for you!
What to Capture: Your photos must be family-friendly and taken between June 22- June 28, 2026, exclusively at the Linn County Fairgrounds in Central City, IA.
Quality Matters! To ensure your incredible fair memories are seen in their best light, please keep the following in mind:
- Originality is Key: All photos must be your original work, taken by you. No stock photos, borrowed images, or photos that infringe on anyone else's rights. We're looking for your unique vision!
- High-Resolution & Clarity: We want to see every detail! Please submit high-resolution photos that are in focus and not blurry. Screenshots, pixelated, or heavily compressed images will be at a disadvantage. Think sharp, clear, and vibrant!
- No Filters or Heavy Editing: While minor adjustments for color correction or cropping are fine, avoid excessive filters or heavy photo manipulation that alter the true essence of the scene. We want to see the fair's authentic beauty.
- Lighting is Your Friend: Aim for well-lit photos. Overly dark or blown-out (too bright) images can lose their impact.
How to Enter: Only one entry per person will be accepted. Submissions must be made via our official contest channel to be considered. Entries submitted through other means will be deleted.
The Deadline: Don't miss your shot! The submission form will remain open until July 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM CST. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Voting & Recognition:
People's Choice Power! Winners will be chosen by popular vote on the Linn County Fair's Facebook page. Get ready to rally your friends and family!
Voting Period: Voting opens on July 2, 2026, and closes on July 9, 2026.
Winners Revealed! The winning photographers will be announced shortly after the voting period ends, receiving recognition from the Linn County Fair!
