Somewhere Conscious is simply a rock band. With a mix of slow AND heavy songs, SOCO beleives in the idea that variety is the spice of life, and their music mirrors that idea. They try to bring something for everyone at every show they play.
They started in the early spring of '06, trying to build their songs to be catchy and something everyone could sing to. Not just for their crowds but for themselves. And let's not forget the rock factor. SOCO is all about the rock. Playing everywhere from So. Illinois, to Central Iowa, the boys in SOCO will continue to play further and further out until someone makes them stop.
Nihil Seraph (Pronounced "nile-ser-uf") is the heaviest hitting hard core melodic band to date. This four piece steaming ball of power comes straight out of the depths of Muscatine/ Iowa City. Nihile Seraph is quickly becoming the areas stronghold on what a heavy metal could have been, and what it will be in the near future. Nihil Seraph is raging creation of four tremendously talented individuals, who will grab you by the depths of your soul. Leaving you wanting more every time!
Concrete Moon is a 5 piece group from the Cedar Rapids area. The band formed in December of 2006, playing a mix of mainly original rock, hard rock, and blues influenced music with a mix of classic rock covers by musicians like Tom Petty, Neil Young, CCR, and Johnny Cash. Three of the members Josh Miller, Paul Doty, and Larry Gehrls had previously performed as a 3 piece group called A One Trick Pony for a year or so before. After a brief search for a drummer it was not hard to decide on Anna Applebee as an excellent addition to the band. With Anna on drums it would seem things would begin to start rolling for the band. We decided on the name change shortly after her joining. After some local giging around the area and a few line-up changes, including the addition of vocalist Erin Meyer we are working to find our place in the local music scene with no intention on leaving any time soon... "WE JUST WANNA ROCK YOUR FACE!!!!!"
