The mission of The Linn County Fair Association is to provide opportunities for 4-Her’s, FFA members and the youth of Linn County to showcase their accomplishments and talents in a safe family atmosphere while providing activities, entertainment and learning opportunities to the diverse citizens of Linn County and guests from surrounding areas.
In an effort to continue that mission The Linn County Fair Association is in the planning stage to build an all-seasons building at the fair grounds. The Lynn Dunn Memorial Building Fund was set up in 2009 in honor of a long-time fair board member who passed away suddenly. The CORPORATE CHALLENGE GAMES is one of our first fund-raising events. We would like to invite your company and employees to participate in our First Annual Corporate Challenge Games. The games consist of 7 different events – water balloon volleyball, bean bag toss, trivia contest, milking contest, digital scavenger hunt, eating contest, and obstacle course. Points are scored in each event and the team with the highest total points will be declared the winner.
Half of the entry fee will go to The Lynn Dunn Memorial Building Fund (a 501c3 charity) and the other half divided among the top three teams with the proceeds going to the team’s favorite
501c3 charity. The entire entry fee of $100.00 is tax deductible.

This is a chance for your employees to meet outside of the work environment in a fun and relaxing atmosphere while practicing teamwork and communication skills. Extra points can be earned by entering a unit in our parade and by becoming a Friend of the Fair by volunteering both before and during the fair. They can also bring their friends and family to enjoy all fun and
excitement of a county fair: animal and static exhibits, carnival, great food, concerts, tractor pull, draft horse pull, chuck wagon races, go-cart races, harness races, beer and wine tasting tents.
Enclosed you will find a copy of the Corporate Challenge Games rules and an entry form.
Deadline for entry is May 1, 2010.
We are also looking for a partner to sponsor this event. Any questions can be sent to info@thelinncountyfair.com.
Even if you are unable to join the games, please come visit us at The Linn County Fair in Central
City from July 7-12, 2010. |
