2008 Linn County Fair Queen Contest
 
 
 
The Linn Co. Fair Board is seeking young ladies age 16-21, as of Aug. Aug. 7, 2008, to run for Linn Co. Fair Queen and Princess.  The deadline for entering is June 3.  Judging will be Sunday, June 22 at 5:00 pm at Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.  The crowning will take place Sunday July 13 in the Farm Bureau Free Entertainment tent at 3:00 pm.  For more details, contact Kathy Clemens at 377-0949
 
Rules:
*Contestants must never have been married or have had children.

* Each contestant must be an active member of at least one service organization in her community such as a church group, Girl Scouts, 4-H, FFA, and be actively involved in/or have been active with the Linn County Fair.

* No professional model (one who has had ongoing employment in which modeling was the primary part of the job) is eligible to compete in the state competition.

* The county fair queens will be the guests of the Iowa State Fair Tuesday, August 5, through the time of the crowning Saturday afternoon, August 9.
